About Us

Hailing from seven generations of tenacious Midwestern farmers along with five generations of meticulous flower growers in Japan, our roots and love of the soil run deep and abiding. From a humble patch of earth in the heart of Illinois, we continue to honor our spirited forebears and their respective devotion to sustainable agriculture. Our flowers are lovingly grown following trusted organic methods and never with the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

DEAR LIZA began as a letter of love to our own little burgeoning grower, while reflecting on the values we hope to help her cultivate throughout childhood:

patience  generosity  empathy  integrity  gratitude  curiosity  resilience  stewardship  compassion  self-respect  resourcefulness

Where words often fall short, we find the simple act of gardening allows for the nurturing of life's lessons through creative play, peaceful reflection and purposeful practice. With each new harvest, we look forward to sharing our heartfelt journey of growth with you.
